It is the branch of pharmacy that deals with the conversion of new chemical substance to the proper dosage form.

Pharmacist :-

  • A person who hold a degree of B- pharmacy or farm D from Pakistan pharmacy council recognized University /college.
  • You must have registration certificate from provincial consil in register A.

Pharmacy technician :-

  • A person who hall degree of farm Day from Pakistan pharmacy council recognized University/ college.
  • Must have registration certificate from provincial consil in register B.

Role and responsibilities of pharmaceutical technician:-

Pharmacy technician can perform following duties:

  1. He can work under the Superman of a licensed pharmacist in health care unit.
  2. He can work in hospital pharmacy.
  3. He can work in community pharmacy.
  4. He can work in pharmaceutical industries.
  5. He can work in NGOs.
  6. He can perform administrative duties.
  7. He can dispense the medicine for patients.
  8. He can guide the patients about proper use of medication.
  9. He can speak directly to the patient on phone to give them guidelines.
  10. He can mention the mistakes in prescription.

Effluorescence:-

Sudden ions of water by hydrated salt is called effluorescence.

Elutriation:-

It is the material separation method in which smaller and larger materials are separated by using liquid or gas.

Vaporization:-

Conversion of substance from the liquid phase into gaseous phase is called vaporization.

There are two types:

Evaporation:-

  • Slow process .
  • Bubbles are not formed.
  • Can occur at any temperature.
  • Minimum energy required.

Boiling :-

  • Fast process.
  • Bubbles are formed
  • Can occur at boiling temperature.
  • Maximum energy required.
